Fire Call, 30th of October, Smell of burning, Princetown.

Currently we get little feed back from people reading the blog. If you have any questions, suggestions or comments please use the facility below.

At 13:34 on the 30th of October, Yelverton appliance was called to an address at Princetown to a “Smell of burning”. A passer by had heard the smoke alarm and smelt smoke. On arrival the crew found no one home, they could hear the alarm and smell the smoke so they checked around the back but with no obvious means of entry they made a forced entry through the front door. Two Breathing apparatus wearers entered the premises and quickly identified the alarm had been caused by a “flea bomb”. The crew withdrew and repaired the door they had forced sufficiently to secure the premises.

Remember if you have work like this at your premises tell a neighbour and cap you smoke alarms to prevent accidental activation. Don’t forget to uncap them once its finished.
