Fire Call, 4th of May, “Fire Domestic”, Crapstone.

Currently we get little feed back from people reading the blog. If you have any questions, suggestions or comments please use the facility below.

At 20:13 on the 4th of May, appliances from Crownhill, Tavistock and Yelverton were called to a house fire at a residence at Crapstone. Yelverton arrived at the scene first and found the resident having a bonfire in the garden. This is the third call of a similar nature in a little over a month. If you intend to have a bonfire, tell your neighbours what you intend to do. This not only prevents them from inadvertently calling in a false alarm, it is also a neighbourly thing to do which gives your neighbours the opportunity to close windows and pick in washing etc. It also saves sending three appliances to a false alarm at great cost, that may be needed else where.
