Drills, 7th of October, Ladder Drills in the yard.

Currently we get little feed back from people reading the blog. If you have any questions, suggestions or comments please use the facility below.

At drills on the 7th of October, we welcomed our two new recruits, Ray Butler and James Scawn. FF Simon Stokes took them through their initial stages of their training package covering the health and safety issues around the station. Meanwhile the crew were outside with Princetown crew practising ladder drills. Yelverton crew used Princetowns 10.5m ladder and Princetown used our 13.5m ladder. Toward the end of drills former Crew Manager Tony Smith turned up and we presented him with his leaving present a presentation firemans axe, albeit a little late. Then in true Fire Service tradition we had a fire call at the most inconvenient time possible!
