Fire Call, 28th of August, V58P1, Small Motor Cycle Fire, Roborough Down.

Currently we get little feed back from people reading the blog. If you have any questions, suggestions or comments please use the facility below.

At 20:03 on the 28th of August, Yelverton appliance was called to a small vehicle Fire at Roborough Down. On arrival the crew found a minature motorbike well alight seemingly abandoned. Members of the public had reacted quite correctly, they had called the Fire Service and given an accurate address making it easy to locate the incident and had used earth to smother the fire. This was a small mini motorcycle, for larger vehicles our advice is not to tackle them unless you have the right equipment and know what you are doing. Vehicle fires can rapidly develop and there is every possibility you could suffer severe injuries. The best advice is always, “Get out, Get the fire brigade out, and Stay out”

It’s difficult to determine the cause of the fire but the absence of any rider or owner would lead us to suspect foul play,
