Fire Call, V58P1, 20th of July, Premises Flooded, Roborough.

At 02:55!! Yelverton appliance was called to a premises in Roborough to assist the occupier with a flooding issue. On arrival the crew found a property severely damaged by a burst pipe in the attic. The crew attempted to isolate the water from the stop cock in the garden but although it turned the water kept coming so they checked the street and found the main stop cock out in the road and successfully stemed the flow. The water had got into the electrics so we isolated them, we assisted the occupier contact their home insurance company for advice and finally we advised the occupier not to go into the affected area of the house because of the danger the ceilings may fall down. We finally closed home station at 04:25
