Drills, 8th of July, Water Relay Exercise, Cornwood.

Currently we get little feed back from people reading the blog. If you have any questions, suggestions or comments please use the facility below.

At drills on the 8th of July, Yelverton appliance took part in a Water Relay exercise at Cornwood with appliances from Crownhill, Plympton and Ivybridge. The exercise was designed to test our ability do draw water from an open source and pump it over a relatively long distance through more than one pump and maintain pressure. Plympton were the base pump drawing from open water, they supplied Ivybridge with two deliveries who in turn supplied Crownhill with one delivery which they delivered to the VEMA  (Turntable platform) and one delivery to Yelverton which maintained two covering jets. I have included some photos.
