Fire Call, 26th of June, Bedroom fire, Plymouth.

Currently we get little feed back from people reading the blog. If you have any questions, suggestions or comments please use the facility below.

At 13:49 on the 26th of June, Yelverton appliance was sent to Station 49 Crownhill for stand by duties. At 16:05 with an appliance from Greenbank, they were called to a bedroom fire at an address in Plymouth. Greenbank arrived at the scene first and quickly despatch two crew in Breathing Apparatus into the building to confirm the fire was out. On our arrival the Yelverton crew used our positive pressure ventilation fan to clear the premises of smoke and took over “Command and Control” duties.

On a positive note, the occupier had called the Service and then took both her children outside to await our arrival which is exactly what we would like to happen. Remember, get out, get the fire brigade out and stay out.

The Yelverton appliance eventually closed home station at 17:35
