Fire Call, 13th of June, RTC persons trapped, A386 Yelverton

Currently we get little feed back from people reading the blog. If you have any questions, suggestions or comments please use the facility below.

At  14:47 on the 13th of June, Yelverton appliance was sent to station 50 Greenbank  for stand by duties. En Route, the crew came across an RTC near the junction at Big Rock involving two cars with two persons trapped one in each car. The crew made up for additional appliances to deal with the incident and provided First Aid until appliances from Tavistock and Bere Alston arrived. The crews then removed the roof of one vehicle to release one casualty and removed the doors from a van to manouver the second casualty out. Fortunately we had FF Kev Brown on the appliance whose whole time occupation as a paramedic was a great help, he was able to quickly triage the casualties, assess there injuries and provide First Aid. I have included some photos.
