Charity Car Wash, 17th of March, St Pauls Chuch Car Park, Yelverton

Currently we get little feed back from people reading the blog. If you have any questions, suggestions or comments, please use the facility below.

On Sunday the 17th of March, Crew from Yelverton Fire Station had a charity car wash at St Pauls Church car park, Yelverton. Our thanks to the general public who, as usual, turned out and supported us. We made a massive £300.00 that will be split equally between the Firefighters Charity and our “Chosen Charity” for this current financial year, “Yelvercare”. Our thanks to Blaze Bear who turned up and did a sterling job drawing cars in from the A386 and managed to get himself into almost every photo we took. Our thanks to  Joe Hess of Maristowe estate for the kind permission to use the chaurch car park. The Car Wash day is a real family event and our thanks to Alan Brown’s Mother in Law who made the childrens fire tunics from old kit. The tunics are absolutely fantastic and must have taken hours and hours to make. The proof was in the pudding, all the children who have worn them so far have loved them.

It always surprises me the lengths people will go to to get in the lime light! If you  closely at the photos you may recognise a certain W.M.’s wife and children scurrying around in the back ground trying to get in the picture!
