Fire Call, 25th of February, Grass Fire, two Bridges, Princetown

At 19:55 ( On the way back from the previous shout ) Yelverton appliance was called to “make pumps two” for a grass fire at Princetown. On arrival the crew found Princetown crew working hard to control a large grass fire with water and beaters. Yelverton crew pitched in and around an hour and a half later they managed to extinguish the fire. This again was swaling during night hours, a waste of resources at a time the Fire Service is undergoing sweeping budget cuts.
