At 18:28 on the 29th of December, Yelverton appliance was called to an automatic fire alarm sounding at a sheltered housing complex at Yelverton. On arrival the crew discovered the alarm had been caused by a faulty vent pipe on a tumble drier that was allowing the steam to vent into the laundry instead of venting outside. The crew left a hand over form advising the cause of the alarm.
