Drills, 17th of September, RTC drill in the Station yard.

Currently we get little feedback from people reading the blog. If you have any questions, suggestions or comments please use the facility below to contact us.

At drills on the 17th of September, the crew practised RTC procedures in the station RTC compund. We concentrated on stabilization of a vehicle in various positions, on its side, on its roof and on all four wheels. We then went into the lecture room and the probationary Fire Fighters due for their stage review were tasked to explain the various cutting techniques for RTC using the wipeboard. All of them clearly understood the ops procedures but none of them were capable of drawing a simple diagram of a car!! They were so bad one of the crew took photos of them which I hope to add to the post soon. That aside, it was clear they understood the ops procedures for cutting cars which will be one of the subjects they will be tested on at their next stage review.

As promised I’ve attached the photos.
