Fire Call, Automatic Fire Alarm, The Telephone Exchange, Princetown

At 11:20 on the 29th of July, Yelverton appliance was called to an automatic fire alarm at the telephone exchange, Princetown. On arrival the crew found a telecom engineer testing the fire alarm. The engineer had notified the alarm control but they had called the fire service anyway. The crew left the premises in the hands of the engineer and returned home station.
