Fire Call, 7th of May, Shed Fire, Horrabridge.

Currently we get little feedback from people reading the blog. If you have any questions, suggestions or comments please use the facility below to contact us.

At 18:02 on the 7th of May, Yelverton appliance was called to a shed fire at Horrabridge. On arrival the crew found an amost totally  burnt out shed housing a lawn mower which, according to the neighbour that called us, the occupier has used in the morning. The crew used a high pressure hose reel to extinguish the fire and small tools to cut away (expose and extinguish all hot spots). On this occasion the shed was not attached to the house and so didn’t present any danger to the household. If you keep garden equipment or a car in a garage or shed attached to your house, you should have a smoke alarm fitted in it. I have included some photos.
