Fire Call, 29th of March, RTC Assist, Cadoverbridge.

Currently we get little feedback from people reading the blog. If you have any questions, suggestions or comments please use the facility below to contact us.

At 21:28 on the 29th of March, Yelverton appliance was called to an RTC at Cadoverbridge. On arrival the crew found a car that had rolled over onto its roof into a gateway. The occupants were already out  of the vehicle prior to the arrival of the brigade. The crew made the vehicle safe and rolled it back onto all four wheels and secured the field to prevent the livestock getting out onto the road.

Cars generally only roll over when they corner too fast. Moorland roads were not built with the modern car in mind, they have long straights with hairpin bends for no apparent reason. A good rule of thumb is to drive at a sensible pace regardless of whether you feel the road could be driven faster. I have included some photos.
