Fire Call, 18th of November, Holiday Inn, Plymouth make pumps eight.

Currently we get little feedback from people reading the blog. If you have any questions, suggestions or comments please use the facility below to contact us.

At 00:30 on the 18th of November Yelverton appliance was sent to Station 50 Camels Head for stand by duties. On route we were sent to make pumps eight at the Holiday Inn, Plymouth. On arrival at the scene the crew were deployed to Breathing Apparatus “BA” duties inside the building and on the roof of the pool complex, they were also involved in the logistics of maintaining sufficient BA sets, cylinders and relief crews. On our way to stand by duties we heard the message from the incident commander confirming the fire had broken through the roof and as we rolled up to the job one of the crew took a couple of photos of the incident, one of which I have included below, more in the gallery. The call eventually went to make pumps 12 before it was scaled down around 06:30, we eventually closed home station at 08:00
