Fire Call, 14th of November, Oven fire, Walkhampton.

Currently we get little feedback from people reading the blog. If you have any questions, suggestions or comments please use the facility below to contact us.

At 18:50 on the 14th of November, Yelverton appliance was called to an address in Walkhampton to an oven fire. On arrival the crew found a smoke filled property with all persons safely outside the building. The crew ventilated the smoke from the building and removed the oven from its fittings to expose the kitchen unit supporting it which had deteriorated due to excessive heat and had began to smoulder. This had occurred over a long period and would have deteriorated further into a full blown fire if it had been left any longer. The crew removed the piece of unit and extinguished it with a bucket of water. I have included some photos.
