Fire Call, 13th of January, Car Fire, A386, Horrabridge.

At 08:56 on the 13th of January, Yelverton appliance was called to a car fire on the A386 at Horrabridge. On arrival it was clear the vehicle was not on fire but had been involved in a collision with the “keep left” sign in the middle of the road. The driver was an elderly man who was obviously having difficulty understanding what had happened and was suffering from shock. Crews rendered first aid until the ambulance arrived and then removed the car from the “Keep Left” sign and assisted the Police clear the road to prevent further accidents.
